Yellow Rice

This traditional yellow rice is served at most important ceremonies and celebrations. This rice is made using coconut milk and it gets its yellow color from tumeric that is added while cooking. It is decorated with handmade flags, referred to as flowers.  Later, these are often passed out to the children as a keepsake.
