The Lembak are known for their traditional drums, called 'Rabana'. Drum groups gather in different neighborhoods on Sunday evenings to practice. These practices are a great way for the men to get together and enjoy a little social time. Of course any event wouldn't be complete without ample time to smoke and eat. Snacks and cigarrettes are always provided.
Drum groups like this are called upon to play for events like weddings, graduations, and baby ceremonies. There are more modern forms of entertainment these days, like a DJ and karaoke, but drum groups are still used and appreciated in Lembak society.
